We talk about the inheritance of sustainability in fashion when we talk about Mother of Pearl. Founded in 2002 by Maia Norman and Sue Foulston, the guideline of eco-friendly fashion of the brand has been built since then. Creative Director Amy Powney started working at the brand since 2006 as an assistant because she has the same passion and love with environment.
To guarantee the sustainability, Mother of Pearl assures the sources of materials, uses only green energy in production process, removes plastic bottles from working environment and limits transportation just to cut down the carbon footprint. As they informed, their "No Frills" collections only used organic materials and created minimum impact on the planet.
